I am so excited to finally be able to share the latest project that I have been working on.
As a creator/ artist, I find yourself always willing to evolve and love taking on a new challenge even if I have no earthly idea of how to do it…But it always seems to come together.
This project is the first of a six part series of inspirational stories (produced, written and directed by me) of individuals who have made a significant contribution in their communities but for the most part have gone unrecognized. I am not talking about the rich and famous, we have enough of those stories. I’m talking about everyday people who are making a difference in their own unique way. Their stories deserve and need to be told.
My first story took me to Richmond, California to interview a remarkable lady named “Georgeva”. She shares openly her highs and lows, peaks and valleys as a young girl trying to make it in the world of entertainment. She was an exotic fire dancer, fashion designer, night club owner, clothing manufacturer owner. From her frightening encounter with the Klan to her manufacturing plant burning down to the ground, this badass woman never let anything stop her. Her message to this day is very clear. Always keep fighting for your dream no matter what! I hope you enjoy learning about my Aunt Georgeva.
“I’m going to keep fighting, because this is my dream”
