“It’s Boomer Sooner Time”
After making her selection to run track for the University of Oklahoma, it was time to celebrate Cristen with all things OU. I wanted to create a party that would be fun, chic and beautiful for this special occasion.
The first thing I did was to secure the two VIP Tents which were custom made and accented with our selected colors of soft pink, crimson and off white with sprinkles of rose gold. This set in motion the rest of the items needed for the party. I outfitted the tents with interior furniture groups that I had designed in the past (and had in storage) but were timeless and transitional so they fit perfectly with the tent decor. A few accent pillows and poufs were purchased to tie the design all together and make the neutral fabrics come to life.
Being an Interior Designer I believe that every, every, every details matters. Let me says that again. Every detail matters. From the decor to the food to the signature cocktails to the designed parting gifts…all items should flow with the set theme. #ItsAllAboutTheDetails Make your party memorable from the beginning to the end. One last tip is to always anticipate the worst case scenario when planning a party. Being that we are in Texas, the summer heat was one of our biggest concern. We decided to be proactive and acquired outdoor A/C units to keep things nice and cool just in case temperatures spiked….and it absolutely did.
