BORA BORA, FRENCH POLYNESIA
Known as the Jewel of the South Seas, Bora Bora is part of French Polynesia in the South Pacific Ocean. It’s not too far away from mainland Tahiti.
Though Bora Bora is a popular honeymoon destination, there are quite a few water activities to do. You can feed sharks and stingrays while on a snorkeling safari, or paddle board in a lagoon. You can see all kinds of fish while snorkeling, from parrotfish to Moorish idols. You may recognize some of these fish from Finding Nemo!
The Four Seasons also provides sunset sushi and champagne cruises on commuter boat-inspired yachts. Lounge on the pristine beaches or sail away and see the island from a different point of view.
Not in the mood for cruising? Visit a restaurant that features traditional Tahitian food and entertainment attractions for tourists. Fresh seafood from the ocean and the lagoon is readily available; to me, ocean seafood is fresher, but I recommend trying both. Vanilla and coconut are in great supply in French Polynesia as well.
