SERENGETI, TANZANIA
Though it takes 21 hours to reach the country, Tanzania is well worth the trip. I visited the Serengeti Bushtops Luxury Safari Camp, and had 4 amazing days of capturing breathtaking photos of animals in their natural habitat! The Big Five Game can be found in the Serengeti–the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and the Cape buffalo and I saw them all. I even saw my favorite of all animals: the cheetah!
I was also fortunate enough to watch nearly 2 hours of the wildebeest migration. People travel from around the world every year to see over 1 million wildebeest, zebra, and antelope migrate in two different countries (from Tanzania to Kenya) if they are so lucky. Thank goodness we were! The timing of the actual crossing varies, but the best time to see the migration is between July and August.
